Rachel Cherington, Board Member

Rachel is a partner with Joseph Hage Aaronson LLC, where she focuses on complex financial and corporate litigation in a wide range of substantive legal areas, including contracts, securities law, legal malpractice, insurance, and corporate governance.  More recently, she has represented plaintiffs in successful Ninth Circuit appeals concerning pleading standards under the PSLRA, attorney sanctions, and discovery requirements.  Rachel’s pro bono work has included representing asylum applicants at trial and on appeal, and representing victims of domestic violence in custody disputes.  Prior to law school, Rachel served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guinea, where she worked with Helen Keller International on health and nutrition issues.  

 

Rachel is a graduate of Emory University (B.A. 1995), the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law (J.D. 2005), and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government (M.P.A. 2019).
