2025 Grantees Announced by the Barbara McDowell Foundation

The Barbara McDowell and Gerald S. Hartman Foundation has selected the five following organizations for 2025 grants, each receiving an award of $25,000:

·       A Better Childhood

·      National Immigration Litigation Alliance

·       Our Children’s Trust

·       The Center for Public Representation

·       Upper Seven Law

The grantees were selected after a rigorous review process conducted by the Foundation’s Advisory Committee, Grant Committee, and Board of Directors.

The Foundation’s 2025 grants are funding cases aimed at correcting injustices in the following issue areas:

·   Access to Benefits

·        Children’s Rights

·        Disability Rights

·       Discrimination

·       Due Process

·   Environmental Justice

·   Native American Rights

·       Refugee and Immigrant Rights

·         Voting Rights

The Foundation received this year 80 applications from very worth organizations. The Foundation’s Board of Directors faced a very difficult task in making its decision to award five grants in the amount of $25,000 each for a total of $125,000.

The Foundation encourages applicant organizations not selected as grant recipients to apply in future years.  Interested organizations can click here for deadlines associated with submitting a grant application.
